The health and safety of our residents and employees is our primary concern, and we are closely monitoring all developments with respect to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are taking action to align with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, and other expert organizations for the latest updates and guidelines for the prevention of COVID-19. Our communities are supported by a task force to aid us with preparation, communication, and management of the COVID-19 outbreak.
What is your policy on Tours and Visitors?
We have implemented a No Visitor Policy for all communities at all care levels during this time. This includes physical tours of the communities. This was a difficult but necessary decision that was not made lightly. We are focusing our attention and resources on providing the highest quality preventative care to our residents and team members.
The ONLY visitors allowed at this time are:
- Medical care providers
- Hospice providers
- Immediate family members for end-of-life residents
We are performing temperature checks every shift for all licensed communities to further ensure the health of our staff and residents.
Please understand we are unable to make exceptions to the above policy. We will continue to review this policy as we receive new information regarding the state of COVID-19 pandemic and governmental guidance. Our residents are among the most vulnerable to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are doing everything we can to protect them.
Virtual Tours
We have taken the time to make virtual tours available on our website for our communities. You can find them on the new Virtual Tour link at the top right of the home page. Should you wish more information on how we can provide a great and loving community for you or your loved one, please contact the Administrator of your local RSR community!
Are you able to admit new residents?
We have instituted new policies for admissions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We can admit new residents to our facilities if they have a COVID-19-specific RT-qPCR test result from a sample taken within 24 hours of the admission date.
We have partnered with local clinical laboratories to deliver this test to our new residents. And, we are implementing testing among our staff and existing residents to help our community adapt to the realities facing us.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our new residents. But, it is imperative that we do all we can to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all members of our communities!

Social Distancing and Our Communities
Socializing is an essential part of a healthy and vibrant lifestyle, but during this time, we’d recommend modifying your social habits. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease and seniors are particularly vulnerable. To minimize exposure and reduce the spread of COVID-19, the CDC recommends the following practices:
- Avoid dining in at restaurants and bars
- No face-to-face visits with seniors, small children, or people with weaker immune systems
- Wash your hands with soap regularly throughout the day
- Maintain a distance of 6 feet between other people and avoid physical contact
Activities to Help Our Residents Pass the Time
At RSR, we have increased our focus on making sure our residents are active and engaged. Our regular activities schedule has been restricted due to the social distancing guidelines in order to keep our residents safe. However, we are currently still providing the following activities:
- FaceTime with the resident’s families.
- Facetiming with different religious services.
- Gym class (No more than 10 residents at a time)
- Chair Yoga (No more than 10 residents at a time)
- Bingo (Residents are seated 6ft away from each other)
- Movie time (Residents are seated 6ft away from each other)
